The Jewish Association for Mental Illness (JAMI) is open to Jewish people over the age of 18, affected by mental health problems.
The Association provides essential day care, social work, advice, information and social activities for people affected by mental illness, including their families and carers.
Services include a carer's support group, befriending scheme, visits to patients in hospitals & hostels, employment support, vocational training and mental health awareness training.
JAMI House provides a warm, welcoming place for people to spend time, where they can meet new friends in a supportive and non-judgemental stimulating environment. The objective is to help people achieve more independence and regain their confidence. An important part of our work at JAMI is to educate the public about Mental Illness, to minimise the effect of stigma, discrimination and misunderstanding.
